Elias Wamsteker is a 19-year-old filmmaker currently studying at DePaul University’s School of Cinematic Arts. His passion extends across all branches of filmmaking, from narrative and documentary to commercial and fashion work. Dedicated to crafting impactful and visually striking stories, Elias constantly seeks to push creative boundaries and immerse audiences in innovative and compelling ways.
From an early age, Elias was captivated by the magic of cinema- particularly the manipulation of space and time. His curiosity led him to discover the art of editing at eight years old, setting the foundation for a decade of post-production experience. With five years of expertise in industry-standard software, he is proficient in the Adobe Suite and DaVinci Resolve.
Elias has worked with crews both small and large, taking on a variety of roles as well as specialized positions. By immersing himself in every aspect of filmmaking, he has developed a holistic understanding of the creative process, strengthening his skills as a director and cinematographer.
Elias believes in the transformative power of film- not just as a visual medium, but as a means of connection and understanding. As he continues to refine his craft, he strives to create visually compelling and emotionally profound films that leave a lasting impact.
